What the booking options mean
Pre-stretch, knots, stencil… if you’re unsure, keep the defaults and we’ll check.
Pre-stretch
Stretching the string before it goes in (usually 5–15%) reduces tension loss and steadies the bed, at the cost of a slightly firmer feel. Most players don’t need it — when unsure, leave it at 0.
Knots (2 or 4)
Badminton rackets usually take 4 knots (mains and crosses strung separately, so they can have different tensions); tennis is often 2 knots (one piece), sometimes 4. It follows the racket maker’s instructions — we’ll check.
Stencil
The brand logo painted on the strings. Mostly looks; it barely affects the feel.
Your own string
Bring a string you bought and pay labour only.
Rush
Strung first and ready sooner, for a rush fee.
New grip
A fresh grip while we’re at it, for the grip fee.
